ORU

For those of you who have been at ORU or were there, who remembers THIS little gem?  That's right, it is the infamous ORU Slim Shady.  I cannot remember for the life of me who actually did it, but I do know they tried to kick him out for it.  I am proud to say that our floor (Dominion) was one of the primary distributors of this song when it came out.  I believe it was 2001, but I cannot be sure.

Have fun and if you know any other info about it, feel free to share.

I was at the school when it was first discovered at Macrogroove.com (now defunct). I had burned it to a CD and I just found it the other day. Figured it would be worth a chuckle.

A little late coming across this post....but yes, it's a classic piece of work. I actually tutored the guy who made it (I finished ORU December of '00, and he'd whipped it up by then).

I don't understand why people complain when they know what is expected of them before they enter on to the ORU campus.

Please just acknowledge that there is and has consistantly been some "shady" stuff going on at ORU. I agree with you about knowing the rules before going there, but please at least acknowledge that it's not idillic and some crap does go on that's not right.

No doubt that there are some things that go on thats not right, but this school is still way better than a state school. There is so much garbage that goes on in state schools that just doesn't occur here either as much or not at all.

ORU Slim Shady

I am the ORU Slim Shady. Adam Bagwell. Clayton Clark helped me produce it. I am sad that they would try to kick me out (yea right)! I left the song with my friends the day that I left... "I'm leaving this semster."

ORU Slim Shady

The ORU Slim Shady song was done by none other than "DJ" Clay Clark during the 1999-2000 school year. WEBSITE: http://www.djconnectiontulsa.com/ . He and I were both on Covenant that year. A lot of the hypocrisy and smoke blowin' that took place there was the inspiration behind the song. I got a lot of good things out of ORU, but I think you should be able to laugh at yourself if you're honest. Slim Shady is absolutely hilarious - and it's because it's so close to true!
